My baby has a full 9 to 10 hours sleep at night and refuses to go to sleep during the day is it normal for a 14mth old to just have no sleep

At that age babies should sleep around 13-15 hours a day. Remember: the body releases growing hormones only during sleep. You can try a bath, short story, warm milk or some music to help your baby napping. It also helps when they go to bed early and wake up early. Try to get her tired at a playground or park before lunch. It may be hard at first but eventually she may get used to it.

My lil girl cut her morning naps out around 1 and her afternoon naps out a couple of months later. Yes, they should probably have a day nap but mine got on just fine without them. It isn't worth the stress for you or your baby to fight over sleep. My lil girl is incredibly bright and always had a very active mind, this is why I think she wouldn't go down. I put her to bed a little earlier at night and now she sleeps 12-14 hours solid over night.

normal? i don't know....i know with my 2 year old he sleeps 10-11 hours everynight and takes a 2 hour nap, but he is still in his crib, so i think it makes it a little easier for him to take a nap during the day because sometimes actually most of the time I put him in there and it takes him a good 15-20 min to fall asleep. is that how you do it? do you put them in the crib and leave the room? that is what i would do because i know that 14 month olds need 1-2 naps a day. i know nap time is a gift to mothers so hopefully they start sleeping for you :)) good luck!!
