My 2 1/2 year old is very good with her little sister, she loves on her and plays with her, she's very gentle, but every morning for a week, she's been climbing into my babies crib with her. I can't put up a gate because she'll climb it, but I'm afraid she or the baby are going to get hurt. Any suggestions on what to do? I've also explained to her that she or sissy can get really badly hurt but she doesn't seem to understand.

She's also becoming very bossy. I don't know what to do anymore.

That sounds sweet! (Assuming here it's because she wants to cuddle her, not wallop her or anything). Maybe ask her to come to you instead so you can put her in the crib for a cuddle with her sister? At 5 months a sleepy morning cuddle sounds safe, it's the actual climbing of the crib that's dangerous.

Not sure on the bossiness, my boy (not quite 2) is starting on that. I guess just modelling appropriate ways of communicating yourself, and only responding to her requests when she asks nicely.

I had the same problem with my older boys. But they were 15 months and 3 months old at the time. We just kept pulling my older boy out telling him that he might hurt his brother that's why he couldn't do it. He ended up stop climbing in 2 months later. He mostly did it at night and go to sleep next to his baby brother.

Thanks Vicki. Yeah it's usually to play with her. The bossiness is mostly "mom, clean it up!' or "mom change my butt!" things like that.
