My 2 year old daughter has always been a great sleeper. We went out for one night and she stayed over at her grandparents and since then she has been terrified to go to bed. She screams for us to lie down on the floor and ends up in our bed in the middle of the night. We have tried to just let her cry it out, but she works herself up so much she vomits. We have tried reassuring her, leaving the door open, leaving her lamp on and nothing works. Has anyone had this experience or any suggestions. It has been almost 4 weeks now and it is taking 2-3 hours every night to get her to sleep.

I'd call grandparents right away and see if they have any insight. Maybe they told her something that scared her or maybe she saw something scary. Beyond that...sorry. I have no experience. Try and find out if she can tell you WHY she is scared. When my daughter was 4 she said she was scared of snakes [odd since she now has imaginary snake friends] and I just told her there was a magic horse in her room that would stomp all the bad ones. She took it and slept fine after that. Good luck.
