Hi! I'm planning on doing Lora Jensen's "3 Day Potty training" with my 2 year old. Has anyone done it? What were your thoughts? Any remarks?

I also had a great little toilet for them, that they use to sit on in the lounge room,or wherever you put it, I found it easier in the lounge room cause they use to watch tv while sitting on it. It was a metal frame mini toilet, with a plastic bag that attached to the seat. They use do poo's and wee's in this then just throw away the bag(or flush it then throw it away). This was great with the girls. Then i would ask if they did anything in there and they would say yes..So I asked them to tell me when they did, then eventually they would tell me before they did it and I would take them to the toilet...also in about a week I could put the little toilet away cause they didnt need it......

Well I think potty training and its techniques are a little outdated for me, as my children are all grown up now. This might seem a little uncouthe but when my son was toilet training I use to not put a nappy on him and spend alot of time outside with him. He would just go on the lawn...lol.I watched him and when he did it I use to say to him, OH you doing wee's,so then he associated this with going to the toilet.I found just b4 he was about to go he would hold it or he would look down at himself cause he use to watch it come out....lol.So I looked out for him doing that and then I would ask him was he going to do wee's and he would smile and say yes...I let him do that a couple of times and then I started holding on the toilet. After that I use to tell him to tell me when he wanted to do wee's and would hold him again. Then I got the insert to put on the toilet and he just started going. He never wet the bed ever,it was far easier for me do that with him,a little bit harder for girls but I use do the same with them. This system probably took me about 1 week before he was toilet trained,as I said it might seem a little uncouthe but it worked for me, If you can do it in 3 days indoors then I wish that system was in circulation when I was training my kids....lol, and before all the mums attack me about that system just remember that is was 15 years ago and didnt have the aid of modern technology to aid in anything,we just stuck to old fashioned methods, but these methods did work..A friend of mine use to put their children on the toilet and turn the tap on,as sound of running water use to make them go - it worked for her.As children have a lot of fluids they need to go quite regularly,I use to ask my son every half hour or so depending on his liquid consumption and especially before naps or bed.......So I say a little unconventional but it saved me alot of time and it was so easy..........
