my friend's new baby boy having upset tummy and she is questioning whether the formula needs to be changed or if he is just still hungry?

i breastfed and was told to pretty much let them eat as much as they wanted/needed... not sure if the amount needs to be a lil more monitered since hes strictly formual-fed??

my doctor is one who says to ride out the formula so i haven't changed mine. my baby was also very cranky. what i do is give my baby mylicon drops for gas before i feed him that way he doesn't get so backed up with gas. with my first i switched formula alot and finally settled on simalac sensitive. there are two kind one for gas and fussiness and one for colic and spit up.

OK so my daughter had an upset stomach ache cry after she ate for about the first 8weeks, I didnt change the formula I just added a little more water then what the product called for until she was about 4months and then I went back to normal dosage. Example it would call for 2oz of water and 1 scoop of formula I would add 2 and 1/2 oz of water and 1 scoop of formula.

My DD had problems with her tummy when she was about that age. She had a lot of gas and her stomach seemed upset all the time. She was a formula fed baby and we went through 6 different kinds of formula until we found the right one for her. We ended up on Enfamil Gentlease for babies with gas and fuzziness ( it has broken down protein and is easier to digest ). She should talk to her ped about it!

We were told to feed DD as much as she wanted
