my daughter is a year and half. in the past few weeks she has started to pull her diaper off all the time. is it too early to start potty training her? she goes into the bathroom with me and watches and tries to wipe herself with her hand. also what do i do to start it?

i started potty training my daughter at 13 months and she did wonderful at it. most ppl told me i was crazy to start so early but she would tell me that she had to go and i put her up there and she would. so every child is different. i would recommend praising with compliments when she does go not treats. i would always get really excited and start jumping up and down when she really went potty and even more excited when she didnt have an accident all day :) it really worked for her. i have seen the treat system backfire a lot that is why i do not think you should reward going potty with treats. some things i read said that a potty chart with stickers helps too so they get excited too. hope it works well :) feel free to send me a if you have any questions

my son showed the same signs pulling off his diaper and watching me go potty... we started patty training when he was 18 mos i would have to say as long as you are consistant taking her in to go potty and encouraging her that she is doing a good job she will catch on fast and you can say bye to diapers... i would however suggest diapers for a while expecially when going away from home!

i tried around that age with my daughter and she wasnt interested and then about 3 months ago she started taking her nappy off all the time and was refusing to wear one so we decided to put her on the potty and it worked...i think that it maybe a sign that she is giving u that she is ready to start going to the toilet...its not too early to at least try to start if she is already showing signs....good luck
