Acidy poop

My two year old has really acidy poop which blisters her butt every time she goes in a diaper. I try to encourage her the most I can to get her to poop in the potty but potty training is still in progress. Any I deas on what to get her to eat to help cut it down a bit? She is a really picky eater and the only hting I can think that causes this is she loves pasta.

Water down her juice and limit the amount she drinks. My son gets 6 ounces of juice in the morning but has to drink milk or water the rest of the day. If she is eating tomato sauce with her pasta then add a tablespoon of sugar to the pot (jar) of sauce. The sugar helps cut the acid in the tomatoes.

cut back on acidic foods like fruit juice and tomato sauce. keep her hydrated with plenty of water and/or milk. pasta won't cause acidic poop

Does she drink a lot of juice too? That can cause the acidy poop. We have had the same problem at times. I've found putting on a layer of Triple Paste Diaper Cream helpful - it's expensive, but works best as it is thick.

Try getting her to drink more water to dilute the acid and cut back on fruits and juice and see if that works. Good luck!
