My 23 month old son screams all the time and for no reason at all. If his 9 year old uncle or anyone else touches his car seat while he's sitting in it he throws a screaming fit. I've told his uncle not to touch the car seat and to leave him alone but it's like it doesn't sink in. I've tried giving him things to take his mind off of it but that doesn't seem to work either. I can't seem to figure out what to do to get it to stop. HOW DO I GET THE SCREAMING TO STOP??

I wouldn't give in. Let his Uncle touch the seat continuously until he stops crying. It's a power play thing, I think. If he screams about every little thing, you may want to check with your DR....maybe something else is going on. Better safe than sorry.

I had the same problem with my elderst daughter neve, what i learned was if i ignored her (with gritting teeth) she got bored, realised she was not getting a reaction from me and the problem went away. hope this helps

ok hun well im suggesting to not always give in to him wen he does it cos everytime u do he will think its a game and keep on doing it kids r sponges but they do know how to push our buttons to at times im sure if u make sure he dnt touch his carseat then he may stop n dnt look and tell him to stop straight away nothing like screaming going thru ya ears not fun n u gain a headache there high pitched screaming is the worst just try to breathe n u will get there hun :) good luck n take care :)
