I have a sure way to get rid of it!  My oldest son (16 years ago) had it really bad, I used to pick at it with my finger nails.  The Dr told me to use a little Head and Shoulders shampoo on a soft bristle tooth brush right on the spots.  I used the dry scalp kind, everytime I bathed him, after a week you never knew he had it.  Don't be afraid to scrub, even on the soft spot.  I've done the same with all 4 of my kids.  The only difference was as soon as it started I treated it, so it was gone alot sooner.  The Dr also told me not to use the baby shampoo, it doesn't rinse well and it can cause the cradle cap, especially babies that sweat alot.

Be careful not to let him ingest any oil if you use it. It's really dangerous if they breathe it.

I used a very small amount of Head and Shoulders to wash my babies head and repeated this about 2 times. Once he was out of the tub, i always put baby oil on his head. Hope this helps.

you can use baby oil and let it sit on the head for a few hours before bath or overnight and then use soft toothbrush and wash the hair.  Another thing you can try is borage oil which you use the same way as baby oil.  Or you can try apple cider vinegar.

Use a REALLY soft toothbrush or baby brush along with any type of dandruff shampoo. Our pediatrician recommended it and it worked like a charm!

My Dr. recommended Selsun Blue, the dandruff shampoo, and it worked very well. Just be careful not to get it in the baby's eyes, it's not tear-free.

Take a soft soft and put a LITTLE baby oil and gently brush on head.  It worked for my son when he was an infant.
