Any ideas how to get a 13 month old to eat vegies?

I've tried everything I can think of and no luck. Tried pureeing and even putting it on his sandwiches....I think he can smell them a mile away!

... try mixing it with cooked rice and meat ... or let him eat on his own ... maybe if he finds it fun, maybe he'll eat it ... Andi eats the wegies, but not the meat ... :D ...

We mash up the vegies, especially the mixed ones. Then we add salt. He likes it, with a little encouragement.

My son loved anything that resembled sauce so I could usually put some soy sauce, ketchup, etc. on what he was eating and he'd enjoy it. I always tried to be really enthusiastic about the veggies like they were really special. A variety of textures and colors helped with him too. Did your son eat veggies before? He might just be going through a weird phase if he only just stopped or might just require some additional flavor like garlic, onions, ginger, spices, etc.

My son used to try new foods easily. But then one day he started refusing foods. Now he is a very picky eater. The only way I've been able to get him to eat any veggies is by covering them in cheese. Then I worry about all that fat & collesterol. But they say that if you keep offering it, eventually they'll accept it. And offer a variety. I'm trying that, but still waiting for the day he accepts it.

when I started out I would make a veggie soup that I would eat and she would want what ever I was eating the first few meals she would only eat one or two bites, and I would give her the normal lunck and dinner with that- then by the third meal she actually would eat a whole serving...YEAH!!! Now she is even eating brocoli okay I have to get the broccoli and cheese but if that is what it takes she LOVES it and is now her favorite!
