My 4 year old is toilet trained since he was 2 and a half . He has no problem going for a wee in the toilet but refuses to poop in anything other than the training nappies. I have tried not buying any but then he just holds it in for days .

My daughter was afraid to poop in the toilet too... after being potty trained (for the most part) she still pooped in her panties for a bout a month and a half. I did two things: If I could get her to try or caught her just before she did, held her (tight hug) and rubbed her back to make her feel safe on the toilet. We also got some construction paper and made a fun sign with markers and hung it in the bathroom. The sign was divided in half and one side was for 'Pee' and the other for 'Poop' and she got to pick out a sticker everytime she went to the bathroom and put it on the sign. It seemed to motivater her a little after the first time she was able to put a sticker on the 'Poop' side.

Good Luck!
