My oldest, who just turned 4 yo, was potty trianed at 2.5 yrs. He likes altoids mints, so each time he sat on the potty, which I had him sit on the potty eery 15 mins., he ot 1/2 a altoid. If he actually peed he ot 2 M&M's; and if he pooped he ot 4 M&M's. Within 4 months we were accident free. Find what he really likes and then he only ets it as a potty reward. Best of luck !!!

I have 4 kids, and have potty trained 3 of them (4th is only 6 mo). Each one has taken a different technique to get them to go. My first, it was a potty training movie (called potty power). With my 2nd, she just didn't like to sit on the potty long enough to let things happen, so I took her to the store and let her pick out a book. I told her she was only allowed to look at it while on the potty. She loved the book so much, that I had no problem getting her to sit on the potty. With my 3rd, he was a bit stubborn. He would go for a couple days and be dry, then he would just not care anymore, and we would go like a month before he had any interest again. After about 3 times of him doing this, I found a way to make him care about staying dry. I had always given him one piece of fruit snack (his favorite candy) after a successful potty trip, but then I also added that if he peed on the floor, and I had to clean it up, I got to eat 1 fruit snack. After I told him that, he didn't have anymore accidents, because he didn't want me eating all his fruit snacks. My advice, is find something and try it, if it doesn't work, don't be afraid to get creative.
