Any suggestions on how to help my 2 year old girl get used to/like/stay in her new big girl bed?

She's been climbing out ouf her crib for over a week now so we decided to put her in a "big girl bed". Even when setting it up she kept saying "I'm So EXCITED!" and how happy she is but getting her to stay in the thing is a whole different story.

my little girl wouldnt stay in her bed when she first got it either. we blocked the entry into the room for safety and for the first few days, she fell asleep in our bed and woke up in her bed (to kind of get her use to the idea of the bed). after about a week, we bought her her very own super special bed set. a nice soft Tinker Bell set (pillow case, top and bottom sheet and comforter). she was so proud to have it that she stayed in her bed.

My girl is almost 3 and she has only sleeping in her big girl bed for 4 months. Ever since May we went on a Vacation to the coast and she had to sleep in the pullout bed with her Brother. When we got Home. I made a really big deal out of her sleeping in her bed. I put on new sheets and pillowcase and blanket. I let her lounge on it and that night she went to bed in her big girl bed. We have had some problems with her staying in it. But I use the babygate to keep her in her room and she sleeps fine. I hope that helps.

Thanks for your help! I did the gate thing last night. Unfortunately she climbed over the 1st one so I stacked antoher one on top of it and that did the trick. I know that sounds horrible but it was the only thing that kept her in her room. She cried for a little while but once she stopped I went up to check on her and she was asleep....IN HER BED!!!! I was so excited and so proud of her. She was really excited this morning and I was too :)
