I'm pregnant with my second child and have no names in mind yet! We're not finding out the sex until birth so any fun unique names for both boys and girls?

My name is Westy. I am a girl, however, everyone mistakes me for a man. It is my given name, I never hear it and I was born in 1975. I think it is a great unisex name.

We thought, everyone is trying to use unique names now so, they really aren't unique or original. We went with a traditional name that is more rare then most of the current unique names (Like Ava, Addy, Bryce etc...) We chose Victoria. She's 17 months now and calls herself 'Tora'. A nickname we would never have thought of!

Seasons are very popular at min for girls..Autumn, Summer and countries too...India, Asia. Trends in boys names are apparantely reverting back to older names Jack, Tom, Chris/Kris. I'm sure whatever you decide will be perfect for your beautiful baby

Be careful with spellings of names. People (colleges and emplyers) tend to look at names and decide if the person is smart enough to go there/work there. Plus as a teacher some people spell kids names ridiculously and they get so embarassed every time someone says or spells it wrong. There's creativity or uinque and there's silly. Like I had girls, Paeschiynce and another Herizhun in a group once- Patience and Horizon. My daughters name is Dharma which is more of a boys name in India but I like it for girls more. Swapping a K for a C or vice versa is cute adding 4 letters not so much. Dorian, Ariel, Lana, Fela, Freya, Esther, Trinity, Elena, Soren are all unique names

AVERY is NO LONGER UNIQUE..it is VERY VERY VERY COMMON NAME along with Olivia...FYI PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE....SPELL GIRL NAMES IN UNIQUE WAYS BUT NOT TOO UNIQUE AND NEVER NEVER NEVER SPELL A BOY NAME ANY OTHER WAY BUT HOW IT IS "SUPPOSED" TO BE SPELLED...BOYS LIKE IT SIMPLE.... Keep with GENDER SPECIFIC NAMES as well....please you're child will thank you for it

We named our girls Abigail Kate, Alesandra Isabell, and Savanna Grace. All three middle names are family names. My mom's name is Sandra (Alesandra) and my mother-in-law's name is Ann (Savanna.) We call Abigail - Abby and Alesandra - Ally and I've been calling Savanna - Savvy lately but I love their full names and the meaning (for us) behind them. Here are some unusual names I've heard: Rainia for a girl and Kahlar for a boy.

I'm struggling with the same thing at the moment. I much prefer more traditional names for first names as it has got to be suitable for an adult not just a cute little baby. If you want to throw something a little different in, use it for the middle name then, if your child wants to use it they can at their own choice. My daughters name is Emily Mary Sunshine and family tend to call her Sunshine. If friends/family start shortening the name, nip it in the bud - I really can't stand it when people call her Ems or Em, her name is Emily! Good luck - will keep watching for ideas. So come on people please - ideas for more traditional names please.

My daughter's name is Carys Elizabeth. Carys rhymes with Paris. It is a Welsh name meaning "love". If I could do it over again, I probably would change the spelling to Caris so people pronounce it correctly.

My nieces names are Sienna and Dione. I
always thought Jessica was pretty for a girl. My
son is Zach and I just love it and I'm so happy I named him
that. I also like Noah and Oscar for boys. Have fun
with picking out names. Actually I always thought
the name Zara was cute for a girl.

My sons are named Nico (after the greek Nicodemus which means 'conquorer of the people') and Desi (like Desi Arnaz which the full name is Desidiero which means adored one). If I'd ever had a girl her name would have been Teyha which is a native american name that means 'precious' and is pronounced TEY-ah. Good luck and Congratulations!

We're sticking with an initials theme, so are stuck with HCB names, if we have another kid (well, we don't have to, but...). So, other names I like are: Aurelia, Helena, and Margaret for girls, and Sten, Bjorn, and Tiernan for boys.

If we have another child we plan to name it either Harold Conan or Hazel Cecilia. They're partly names of long-gone and beloved family friends, I'm a huge fan of Robert E. Howard's "Conan" book series, and I like plant names!

Think of things or people you like, and maybe something will come to you. I also enjoy looking back in my family's genealogy to pick up good, strong old-fashioned, rarely-used names. I even had a great-great-aunt named Cookie.

My oldest daughter is Jade. I think it's unique because you don't hear it a lot and it is also simple (and I think beautiful). My other daughter is Lily. I thought it was unique but it seems to be very popular lately (but it suits her).

I think Tristian is a unique unisex name, very cute too! If you would like a unique name then go online and search names from other countries. My daughters name is Kyla, (pronounced like Kyle but with an a on the end) which is Irish. Or make a combination name, like my son... I just recently got his name legally changed since his father took off. I wanted to keep the name Trey because he responds to it, but I thought the name name Kaidyn was cute, but too popular. So I came up with Tredyn! Unique American names are getting very popular and so are traditional names like Sophia and Lillian.... but if you search around you'll find one! I also believe names should have a strong meaning!

My daughter's name is Ember. I also like Sioned (Sh-ned) and Siona (pronounced like Shanna). If she was a boy, we liked Jared, Jaden, Seth, Sinai. I like Logan as a unisex name.

If you want your child to have a unique name then name them something traditional. I think the creativity went out of it when everyone started "getting creative" creative names are the new commons IMO

When I was pregnant, we had a few different names that we battled with. We knew we were having a girl so we only picked girls names. The names were Justice, Brooklyn, Lillian and the one we went with is Ayisha pronounced (I-e-sha). I found out when she was 9 months old that Ayisha means "alive and well" and she was a preemie born 6 weeks early and only 3.5lbs. It was meant to be. Good Luck!

My son's name is Tristan Cole. I liked Zoe for a girl and my husband liked Rayne. Let us know what you decide on. It can be a battle between the husband and wife but I think the mom should have a little bit more say!

My son's name is Sabin Drake. If we would have had a girl it was going to be Nevaeh Lyric. I loved Nevaeh but now everyone is naming their girls that. My hubby picked out Lyric and wanted to call her by that.
