My 22 m/o and I were playing with blocks. He went to play with something else and I kept building towers. He would keep coming over and knock the tower over and then look to see how I would respond. He did this four or five times before it was time to pick up. Besides telling him no, is there anything else I should have done or should do in the future

i have a 27 month old girl and she is desructive with things like that. sometimes they do it for cause and effect. sometimes i find telling her no just eggs her on to do it again and sometimes if i ignore her she will not do it anymore. i thiink he maybe testing the waters to see what he can do that you will get mad about. i found staying calm and acting upset saying "oh no, you knocked down my tower. that was not very nice now i have to build it up again... will you help me build it back up?!" will get them to help.

My little girl is 17 months and she is VERY destructive..!! I just tell her stop when beating up on her doll and throwing it around!! That is some what working with her... She is not doing it as much now she is being very lovable!! I think it just takes them time especially if their the only child at home their not use to sharing really.
