Ok Parents. Here is the parent question of the day. Help. Is it ok to set boundaries with the neighbours in regards to how often their children come over to your house and for how long? (note: my son 21 months, girls 5 1/2 and 8) (I can't go outside to play with my son without the 5 1/2 old over all the time. I'm not kidding ALL THE TIME). Help.

I agree with Christina. Speak to your neighbor about maybe scheduling a playdate for the kids. Try and see if THEY can have one at their house too, so you can also have some alone time. It's good to interact with other children but there should always be boundaries.

I suppose it would be difficult to stop the neighbours kids coming over to your yard. But it sure may help to speak to the parents and ask if they could make their children aware, that you (as all (I assume) parents) would like to have outdoor playtime ALONE with your toddler.

Worth a try I guess.
