My daughter is 2 years and 9 months and she is still having bottles during the night. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get her out of this.

do you offer her a sippy cup first before bed? she's going to want the bottle, and she's going to get mad, but be stern and consistent. at 12 months for my daughter i just started gradually giving her a sippy cup at night instead, and thankfully she was really good about the switch. no parent wants to sit and listen to their little one cry and scream, but sometimes it's something we got to deal with to have the outcome we want. just like switching from crib to toddler bed. my daughter flipped out the first week, but we would just be calm as we can and set her back into her bed till she fell asleep. just keep offering it to her. i don't know what else to say. sorry if this didn't help. good luck hun!

I Stopped giving my son a bottle at 1 year i only put water in is bottle and juice or milk in his cup that way he would prefer his cup then at night i started giving him water instead of milk (its better for the teeth) and he slowly no longer wanted it..

My son is 2 1/2 and still has bottles for sleeps too. I've been watering down the milk in an effort to get him off them, but that's not worked as yet. He gets only 50ml of milk and 200 ml water. In a couple days it'll be all water, so it'll be interesting to see if that works.

He goes to daycare two days a week and when I told them I'm trying to get him off bottles, they have taken to stance of "don't ask, don't get". It seems to be working (for them). If he doesn't ask for the bottle, they don't give it to him. I've tried that a few times with success, but only during naps. He always asks for it at night.

I'm sorry I don't have any good advice, but am anxious to see if anyone has any good tips.
