I'm a fan of traditional, strong names. I have an Angus and a Jock. My nephews are Finn, Lachlan, William, Hamish and Henry. Good luck!

My partner i and i agreed on i choose a girls name and he chose the boys name then wrote a list and let the other look through it and cross out the ones we didnt like that way we chose our childs name for our daughter Emelie Anne. If she had been a boy she would have been named Rhys Richard. we will be doing it again when we have our next baby

I think Nicholas goes nicely with Alexander. They're both strong "tried and true" names.

the bible is a good source for good strong names & then we chose family member names for middle names the 1st boy is Ezekiel James/ my 2nd boys name is Zephaniah John/ my oldest is a girl her name is DaisieMay Lorraine/ & we are currently expecting another girl in October her name is Adelinah Grace/ we had Nehemiah Fredrick picked out if it was a boy my grandpa's name is Fredrick but he goes by Fred/ My father in-law is James but goes by Jim/ my husbands middle name is John & if i was a boy that is hat my mom was going to name me. my husbands name is Stephen but he goes by Steve, Johnathan is a good name too, Steve's broths names are Paul & Mathew. my friend named her boy Ezra, Any way there are lots of strong names in the Bible just look up the ones you like make sure of there meaning & it doesn't hurt to check out the kind of person they where in there too. I used to like the name Dalila for a girl but she was the one that cut Samson's hair & her name means seductress. so as you can xsee they may not be so pretty or neat once you know all about that name lol.

What's the girl name you have picked out? Are you going with some sort of tie in (All A's, longer names, etc) You could go with Aiden, Anthony, Andrew... or go with B names Blake, Brayden, Brandon or names that just fit - I like Ezekiel with Alexander. Good luck on whatever you choose!

I always look at the meanings and the possible short forms on top of names that sound good. What about Zachariah, Micah, Nikolas, Isaiah, Seth or Gabriel? Best of luck picking a name :-)

Dont call him graham!!! (alexander graham bell -telephone).
how about: Lincoln, Declan, Aiden, Pearce, Julian. Good Luck... Our first sons name just stuck right off and our second son was Jackson for a long time (about 6 months of the pregnancy) before we decided on something completely different. :0)

My son's name is also Alexander. We call him "Xander". I always thought "Xavier" would be cute as his brother's name. But I also like Camden, Trenton, Connor and Caleb. Good luck choosing!

im having a boy in october, nd we're naming him Jacob Martin. my husband picked that name out when i was pregnant with my daughter, so we figured theres no sense in picking another name. I dont really know where he got Jacob from (NOT from twilight though, someone just pointed that out to me last week) but Martin is his dads name and his middle name.

Did you get a babies name book with this pregancy? My girl was reading with her uncle and they were saying alot of boys names and he said Kyle and then he said other names and she wouldn't say them so we had to go wtih Kyle, but we were waiting for our scan to find out the sex, So we were happy it was a boy cause we didn't have to tell our girl its not a boy, but I had a feeling it was going to be boy from the start.

Ashley, Beau, Christian, Drew, Eddie, Finn, Glen, Hamish, Ian, Jared, Keegan, Leon, Mark, Nicholas, Owen, Peter, Reuben, Scott, trot, Uria, vincent, William, Xavier, Yannis, Zane.

That's a few out of the baby name book.

My boy's names are Ryan Michael, Andrew Christopher (Drew) & Brady Matthew. I have always loved the names Nicholas (Nick) & Nathan (Nate). With Boys you ALWAYS have to consider what their nicknames may be or what their names may be shortened too. NICK & NATE are strong, masculine names too. We picked middles names from the bible for each of our boys. Good Luck to you!

My son's name is Zachary. We chose it because it's a strong name and one where he can choose to go by a nickname (we use Zach) or his full name. I also like the name Jacob/Jake - but if you don't want something TOO popular, check the list of the top 100 names for the last year. Jacob might be close to the top because of the Twilight movies. Good luck!

Our sons are Thomas Paul and Elijah Donald both boys have their second name from one of there Grandfathers, with Alexander you could put Nicholas as some else suggested but please make sure if you are going to shorten it dont use Nicky my brother is Nicholas and one of his childhood friends still calls him Nicky and he is now 48 yrs old. One of my very favorite names is Deakin. Have fun choosing.

I agree that boys names are quite difficult. I have 3 boys and had trouble picking names for all of them! Alexander was on our short list all 3 times, but didn't end up using it. After reading the posts, I think Nicholas would complement Alexander nicely. Good luck making a decision!

i love Xavier but my fiance shot it down. Quinlan is another one i love. Being Scottish by heritage i'm also very fond of strong scots names like Conner. We're naming our boy (due this month) Damien Alexander. I always found boys names easier than girls.

Hi - my first was also Alexander, second Daniel - only named two days after he was born, next Jasmin (easy cause a girl) and then a surprise - Samuel (Sammy) Was always difficult to name the boys - hubby was a lecturer so all names had memories of some student. Find the classics always come back again and again and are good stable names. Look at what the name means - cause you speak that into your childs life everytime you say their name - eg Alexander - defender of men.

Our 2.5 year old son is named Nicolas but we call him Nico. I'm expecting another boy next month and I think we've decided on Alexandre (French spelling because of our origins) but we're planning on calling him Alex. I see that you and I have similar taste:-)
