Does she/he unbuckle the chest buckle, or just slip the arms out? I don't know how to stop if if the child is unbuckling other than repeatedly tell her/him no and explaining that that can give her/him owies. If she/he'e not unbuckling, then you don't have the straps tight enough. You shouldn't be able to pinch any escess strap between your thumb and finger and the buckle should be at arm pit level.

i would get a different carseat. i have never heard of a child being able to get there arms out if the straps are tight enough. I would try pulling them really tight. you should only be able to get 2 fingers under the straps yourself?????? hope this helps.

If she is able to pull her arms out the straps are probably not tight enough. Her straps should be pretty tight (just enough room for you to slip your fingers in). Also her chest clip should be up right around her armpit level. Is she in a 5 point harness or are you using an older seat with only 3 points, that can be a problem sometimes as well.
