Have two Britax Marathons in the back of my 4Runner and love them. Still a little room between them, but wouldn't want to sit there. Also have a Sunshine Kids Radian 80 in other car and don't love the way it straps in, very loose.

i have the britax roundabout for my daughter that i have used since she was about 4 months old and will continue to use till she needs a booster! my boys have the graco nautilous ones which are okay but i also have used the evenflo triumph's which were real easy to use and the price isnt that bad either my kids seemed more comfy in the evenflo's i think i may need to put them back in the car!! my best advice is go and shop around and try your child in the different ones and purchase the one that you and your child like best!! also you'll get to play around with them and see for yourself just how easy they are to use or not!

We have a Britax Boulevard and love it! We got it for our first son and now our second son is in it. It's 5 to 65 lbs. and has the side impact protection. I feel very safe with it and it also doubles as a nice head rest for him when he falls asleep. This car seat is both rear and forward facing. Our second son hated his infant carrier...would cry non-stop. We moved our oldest to a Britax Frontier (25-80 lbs. & booster being 40-100lbs. also w/side impact protection) and put his brother in the Boulevard, rear facing, at three month old. Yes, it was inconvenient to not have the luxury of the carrier, but we finally got relief in the car...all of us. He hardly cries now. The Britax are expensive, but my husband and I feel that we can't put a price on our children. We do a lot of long distance traveling to visit family....it's has been 100% worth it to us. Some people do not like the side impact protection because they say it blocks their child's view out the window. It really dosen't and our son's can see all around them just fine. If we to get in an accident I feel safe that our children are protect the best way they can be. Your daughter might be able to use the Frontier if she is tall enough. It's a very nice seat and then you won't have to buy another one for her ever. You can read all about all the Britax seats at www.britaxusa.com. You can compare each seat and get all the info that you want. Hope this helps.

I would suggest a Britax Marathon or Decathalon. I have the latter and love it. It is rather large, but it fits in most cars. It will keep your little one in a 5pt harness for much longer, and you can keep it rear facing up to 35 pounds. Then you can turn the seat around and forward face. Most of the time this seat lasts kiddos up to 5-6 years old. Then they are old enough for a booster.

We have a Britax Decathlon. I love it, but it takes up a lot of room. It fit really well in our Chevy Malibu, but we've since purchased a Subaru Outback, and its absolutely HUGE in the back seat. I just purchased a Recaro Como (on sale at woot.com today) and I can't wait to get it!
