Child of just over three: is nursery school better at this age or should children stay at home and rather have a child minder helping out?

It really depends what you want for your child. A child minder offers the next best thing to a mum. They care for your child like you do but the child does not get 100% of her attention. A nursery is a learning environment which is geared up to teach through play. Your childs day will be mapped out and that routine is stuck to no matter what. Me personally I prefer the child minding approach until they are 4 as they are still babies and so very young to have such a stringent routine. I want my child to sleep when she wants to and not at 1pm because that is when it is scheduled. Saying that there are so many good nursery school out there it's just finding the right one that fits into your childs life the best.

my two daughters age 2 and 3 are in daycare and it is soo great they get to socialize with other kids their own ages and at night they sleep alot better cuz they have been playing all day with the other kids. They also have alot of activities there that I would have never thought about. I love my daycare/ preschool center. This also helps them to get ready for school and to understand that when you drop them off you will be back to get them my kids had a little bit of a hard time when they first started going but after a few days they loved it and have ever since.
