Children sleeping my bed

I have a terrible problem. My three and five year olds do not want to sleep on their own beds. I spoilt them from birth and let them sleep with me. Now we have huge fights at bedtime to get them to sleep in their beds. I have to sleep with them in their room. I have made their room so pretty to what they like Hannah Montanna bedding pink and purple room but this has not helped. Can someone please give me other suggestions.

I have the same problem with my 6 year old and 2 1/2 year old. Just like you this has been going on since birth and just like you I made their rooms very comfortable and attractive hoping they might take the bate.

My strategy (come summer and school is out, 'cause I can't deal with it right now) is to bribe him! Put up a calendar in his room, break out the stickers and tell him for every night he sleeps in his room he gets a sticker and at the end of the week if he has slept in his room then he gets a special treat!

I'm sure it's not going to be as simple.

My daughter I imagine she'll be with me for a while longer! I figure it's best to get the oldest out first!

I also saw an episode on Super Nanny that every time the kids got out of bed in the middle of the night, the parent would take the kids by the hand say "bedtime" (only) and return the kids to his bed. I recall it took a few nights of kicking and screaming on the kids part, but eventually it all stopped!

Good luck!
