I was wondering how many mommies that have babies that can count, knows colors and shapes?
My son is 21 months and only counts 1 and 2, doesn't know shapes but repeats what they are after I tell him and says that everything is the color purple or blue. Should he know more?

My son could hardly talk at 21 months. He'll be 3 next month. Now knows his colors, shapes, counts to 10, and his letters. He's probably ahead of some kids and behind of some kids. They all learn at they're own pace don't worry.

I don't think you should be worried. My daughter is 20 months and right about the same level. She can't say her colours well, but she can identify them. As in, if I ask her to get me the black ball, or the red ball, she will pick the correct one. There are lots of exercises that you can do to encourage him to learn them, but so long as he gets some stimulation every day and lots of praise, it will all come. When my three year old was learning to talk she didn't say much at first, and then all of a sudden, one day the words starting coming. Now I can't get her to stop.
