Do toddlers get cradle cap or could it be excema?

My 2 1/2 yr old daughter has always had a bout with allergies of all types and dry skin and excema is one of them. However, in the past few weeks her scalp has begun getting scabs and her air is matting to them. and when I comb her hair after a bath the scabs come off along with hair. It doesn't bleed or even look red? I am trying some shampoo for psoriasis and excema. Should this be something I should call her pediatrician about or allergist?

They can still get cradle cap. Make sure you are scrubbing her head and getting all of the shampoo out. If it doesn't clear up I would go to the doc. It may be dangerous to use excema shampoo on a child so young. I am a hairstylist and see this all the time.

Try Selsum Blue one of the kids had a horrible case of it. And the only thing that worked was Selsum blue...

sounds like its just cradle cap my oldest was still getting it alot even when she was 2 she is now 3 it could be the shampoo you are using we found once we switched her to a different type of shampoo she was good .. we have been using johnson's shampoo with conditioner works great we have now switched to the walmart brand of big kids shampoo we let her pick it out but if your really worried maybe talk to a dr but im sure its as simple as switching shampoos
