Kayla has had a flubug and wouldnt stop throwing up. I took her to the clinic 3 times and they just kept sending me home. finally I got a little "forcefull" and said they needed to tell me what was wrong. They never swabbed her throat or anything they just gave me a perscription for strep throat. I am almost positive that is not the problem

Keeping your dtr hydrated is of upmost importance first off... pedialyte, popsicles, diluted juice. If she can't keep that down and isnt having normal wet diapers or using the potty, you need to go to the ER for hydration pronto. This is especially important if she has a fever and/or diarrhea. In terms of the medication, my first question would be "what is it?" We should never give our children medication if it's the wrong kind or if they don't need it. It seems to me that you might want to get a second opinion by a pediatrician and make keeping your little hydrated a top-priority. Dehydration is very dangerous and should be addressed right away.

Did you see a pediatrician? (I don't know what clinics offer) From my experience only pediatricians really do a thorough check.

Did they check her ears? After my son has been sick either with a cold or the flu, he often gets ear infections that cause him to throw up. I would either talk to the pharmacist or go to a different clinic / dr. if you can. A second opinion can be helpful.

That is odd. Read the prescription label or ask the pharmacist what the medication even does. If it doesn't sound like it will help with anything she has, then don't use it. Prescriptions don't work for viruses so I wouldn't give it to her unless it was actually going to help something.
