Does my 2 year old have separation anxiety?

My 2 yr old daughter is very attached to me to say the least. If she can't find me she freaks out start s screaming and crying for me. I have tried to get her to stay with her Grandma but she just cries the whole time. She even does the same thing with her dad. I don't know what to do. Is this some kind of separation anxiety? How do I get her to stay with other people?

This is very common. Yes it is seperation anxiety. You need to flood your daughter with other adults so that she feels safe around other people.Try going to a mums and tots group where she can play and still see you. After a short while she should start to play more with the other kids and not look constantly for you. Spend time with her grand parents and tell her your going into the garden for a while and leave the room for five minutes come back and give her a big hug if she is quiet. Do this on a regular basis until you have got up to 15 minutes away from her without her making a fuss. If she knows you are coming back then she will slowly get over the seperation anxiety. It is a phase you just need to prove to her that nothing bad is going to happen if you leave the room.
