Does teething make your child more active?

My 17 month old is cutting 7 teeth at the moment. He has a high pain tolerance so he doesn't make a big deal about it. I know at night time can be the most painful.

Lately he has been waking up and just wanting to be with me and wanting to play. He will still be a bit tired but he is ready to do laps in the living room. Last night he wouldn't go to bed AT ALL. His bed time is 8pm and he didn't go to bed until 11:30pm. He was so hyper it was like he just woke up from a nap. Nothing was different in his day... Can this be due to teething?

Yeah, even with a high pain-tolerance teething interferes with sleep. Playing and being with you helps distract him from the new teeth.
