Any advice on getting a toddler down for naps? My 13 month old daughter lately has been fighting us to go down for naps. She gets tired and crabby so I know she still needs them.

having a fixed routine is helpful so she learns that after lunch it's nap time and that's just the way it is. read her a couple of stories then be firm it's time to go to sleep - at 13 months she will deffinitly still need a daytime sleep.

What I do, is I don't make a nap mandatory, but I make a quiet time for her in her bedroom, so that I can get some things done. It is for about 3 hours, and in that time she can either stay awake and play with toys, or she can lay down and watch a movie and fall asleep. Either way, it is well deserved time away from eachother.
