Lately my 2 year old son will not keep his hands out of his mouth.

He was only on a pacifier until he was 3 months old.

He was never interested in using one.

He would chew on his hands a lot when he was teething but I thought he had all his teeth for right now.

It's not just like a finger or 2' sometimes I catch him trying to shove both completely in his mouth.

I take them out and tell him not to because it scares me, at first he was shoving them so far in his mouth he was gagging himself and making himself puke.

I just want to know if anyone has any ideas on what I should do.

You just described my 2 year old to a T. I am assuming it is his second molars since he is also drooling a lot.

My guy is liking Popsicles ... maybe that will help those sore gums.

I never knew they made those. But that was what I thought the problem might be, cause he is never deprived of food. I'm not saying he's over weight he is normal we just make sure he is well feed. I will have to find that teether and see if that helps.

Or, maybe his 2nd set of molars is coming in? There are "back teeth" teethers you can get.

It might just be something he likes to do right now. My daughter went through all different kinds of exploration...if you will. Just try to ignore it, if you make a big deal, he will keep doing it. If you ignore it, he isnt getting the attention for it, so that might stop him. Good Luck and if you are very concerned talk to you pediatrician.
