Flu Shot

Hello our daughter is almost 3 and goes to Daycare since I am a working Mom. They recommend she gets flu shot I don't really feel quiet compfy with it.. Can anyone share information on experience.. I hear so many horror stories ...

Yeah I wish I had a choice... I would for sure not get her the shot... I am just so worried.. she got all her regular required shots and she is a pretty healthy child however they demand her to go and get the shot..

I was back and forth on this issue this year as well. She got her flu shot last year and it didn't affect her either way. She doesn't go to daycare and I thought, really, what is the point this year??? Then there was a special on TV and they said this years shot also helps with the prevention of spinal menegitis (spelling?). Since it has multiple purposes, I just went through with it. Figured it really couldn't hurt.

Hi Mary, my son (who'll be 3 this weekend) is also a full-time daycare extraordinaire since he was 4 months. We never give him flu shots. Instead we're very strict about giving him age-appropriate multi-vitamins and OJ every morning. Our pediatrician also recommended DMG. Google it if you're interested. I have our local GNC store order it for us. Good luck.
