Quoting cassandra:

the only cerial i can get her to eat is weekbix, but there is a few days every now and then were she wont eat it, is weekbix good for her the way there good for us, and iv tried giving her water but she wont drink that either.

I just realized that you're talking about adult cereals. Maybe she is not ready for them so that is why she is not eating them? We started with baby rice cereal before moving on the adult cereal which we would give our son for snacks when he was young.

In my opinion I would not worry about the fact that she will not eat the baby cereal. It has hardly any nutritional value anyhow. If it’s that important to you that she eats it maybe try adding some mashed up fresh fruit. Since your daughter loves fresh fruits and veggies why not just stick to those? I've never given our son jarred baby foods and have homemade all of his foods since he was 6 months old. I think that it's much healthier too! Our son is a year old and has had juice maybe two times. Babies don't need juice. Our son loves milk and water so that is what we stick to for now. Best wishes to you!

Yeah, I would have to agree with the other moms. I wouldn't worry about the veggies and fruits, if she'd rather have the real thing, let her! It tastes better, and she knows it! The only concern i would have with not liking the cereal is the iron it contains that babies need. Regular cereals aren't fortified with iron like baby cereals are. But talk to your doctor because there must be an iron suplement you can give her instead. Good luck!

my best advice is let her eat and drink what she wants too.....my two kids hated the cereal and it did not matter how you tryed giving it to them or what you added to it...kids know what they like and don't like....

she is better off not drinking the juice, let her have water, and not all kids like the cereal, my daughter hated it, unless i mixed it into her puree'd fruit or vegies that i made for her. kids are like us, they have things they don't like too, we can't force them
