fussy eating

my toddler is 2 1/2 and he is so picky with eating its driving me crazy and its not so much that he doesn't like foods its that i can't get him to try anything he refuses everything i offer him unless its something he has had before, I also don't make a big deal out of it but it doesn't see to make a difference i've tried everything any suggestions????

I don't know about your little boy, but my daughter loves to dip foods in sauce. Ketchup, salad dressing, sour cream -- it makes what she's eating more fun. My daughter is very ummm... independent. She likes to feel like she has some control - like most toddlers, I guess. I'll give her a choice between two options -- maybe you could let him choose which of two new foods he would like to try? I also give my daughter a chewable multivitamin, and a chewable fruits-and-vegetables concentrate on days when she doesn't eat a lot of veggies. But, as they always say, it's probably just a phase...
