Fussy fussy eater

I've started giving my almost 2 year old daughter multivitamins. She's a pretty fussy eater. She likes most fruit, some veggies, meat, rice and potatoes but wont touch dairy products, pasta or any green leafy veggies. My daughter went through a phase where all she'd eat was apple sauce and crackers. She'd refuse everything else, but she was still breastfeeding at the time. Now that she's finished with breastfeeding I figured I'd suppliment her diet with vitamins so that she'd get enough calcium, iron and folic acid. I'm just wondering what other mom's opinions are on the topic of fussy eaters.

One tip that I have read and it worked for us to is offer our son (2 1/2 years old) a healthy option snack before dinner, when he is the most hungry.. He always says "MaMa, I want something to snack" about 20 mins. before dinner is done.. I have taken that opportunity to offer him a salad or a new type of fruit or veggies because if he is hungry enough he will at least give it a taste.. If he doesn't want it, then his other option is to wait for dinner.. he does like to snack on applesauce, yogurt, or peanut butter filled crackers too.. When I want him to try something new I don't make any other options available.. Its this or nothing.. You have to really stick to your guns when you do that and just deal with the tears that may follow sometimes, but my son likes salads, peaches, and pears now so it has lead to success for us.

I have mixd feelings on this subject. I don't want him to develop issues with food bc I push it on him. I also don't want him to only eat sweet potatoes which is my sons food of choice. I have found the best way to handle food is try new things all the time. If he sees me eating it, he wants to try it. So, once or twice a week I try something new. He is getting more brave with his food and branching with what he likes.

I really like this website. Some of the more unusual recipes he really liked, which was shoking. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/ I can also tell you from experience babies tend to like fresh foods over canned. The only thing I give him that is not fresh are whole grain eggos and vegeburger. If you do the veg burgers make sure to get low sodium. I hope you get some good ideas from the site. Good luck

hey my little gril is two in may and hardly eats she will eat peas and sasiges and yoget and tost and ceral but when she dont want it then she dont want it she just never wants two eat muuh anymore so i konw how u feel
