My little girl Lilyanne is 3yrs old now. She's been attending pre-school 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hrs a day. I wanted to get her used to be with other children and use to me not being around all the time. I told her I was going back to work . She said "Mommy is daddy going to work too?" I said,"yes" she then said "ya both going to leave me?" It broke my heart, I try to explain to her why I had to go to work. she then said, "But mommy u dont need to work for money u got a debt card" I just lmao . What should I do ,so I dont feel bad about going back to work?

There are many good children's books to help children understand this transition. One is called "I'll Always Come Back" but I can't rember the author. Just keep at the prep work and be matter of fact about it. Try not to let her realize you feel bad, she'll just feed on it (not intentionally) and it will be harder on you both. Maybe help her with a calendar or something so she can see the days and times she will have with you.
