Good PBS programming for Tots...

I have been trying to expand what my daughter watches on TV and need some suggestions. She pretty much only watches the Dora and Little Einsteins shows that I TiVo for her. There are so many programs on PBS, though, and I want to start recording some of them for her to watch. I also don't want to have to read the description of each show or sit and watch them with her ... Does anyone have a favorite or two from the PBS lineup for a 2.5 year old?? Thanks!!

SUPER WHY!! My son loves it! It is so educational. He thinks Super Why is the coolest guys around. I love to see him shout out the answers. Word world is great too.

Elmo and all the Sesame Street ones are great! Also, I got these videos from the preschool prep co. My daughter learned all her colors and shapes in 3 days. It was great!

Do you have Noggin in your area? They have shows like the Wonder Pets and the Backyardigans which are great!

I would highly recommend "Super Why". My 22 month old loves it and I love it too because it is very educational. It does a lot of stuff with the alphabet, reading, & spelling as the super readers jump into a story to help solve a real life problem. Even though a lot of the education aspects of the show (like reading & spelling) are above my daughters head, she really enjoys the show and I feel good about letting her watch it.

My little girl (2 in March) watches all the shows on PBS in the morning, Curious George, Sid the Science Kid, Super Why, Clifford, Sesame Street and her favorite is probably Word World. She watches, but doesn't just sit there, she plays at the same time. Most of the time it's just background noise.
