Hi am a working mom with a have a 19 month old son and lately am havng guilt trip about

leaving him at daycare. He has been going a year now and he enjoys going (most days),but i just feel like maybe its to much for a small child. ( It's almost like he has to wake up everyday to go to work"). Can anyone relate to this feeling?....

Nicole thank you for your reply, snd you're right it is good for them to be able to play with their playmates and i've googled info about kids in daycare, they do better in school then kids that are at home till kindergarden..

I know how you feel. My daughter is 2 and has been going to daycare since she was 9 months. I work full time 2 1/2 months a year and part time the rest. Although she loves her daycare, she still has some days that she would just rather cling to me when I drop her off. These are the days I have more guilt. On the other hand, I live out in the country with no little kids around and she is getting her social skills from going to daycare and playing with the other kids. Now that her vocabulary is taking off, it's exciting for me to be surprised by what she all knows and I can honestly say she is probably getting more education from them then I could ever provide-not that we dont work on the alphabet and counting and colors and numbers and read A TON but she enjoys it and that's what matters to me. It's hard some days but I know it's worth it. Give yourself a hug and a pat on the back for being a mom and having the same feelings most of have.
