I have to have cervical disk surgery & I have a 20 month old. I have family & friends to help out but,I was wondering what kind of pain I will be in & how long the recovery will truely be. I'm terrified about this surgery!

No, but I do have Degenerative Discs, my L4 & L5 are rubbing together and instead of surgery I opted for spinal decompression therapy. I had heard different nightmare stories about surgeries, and my dad has had surgery and 3 years later his back was in worse shape before. Spinal Decompression is non-invasive and as long as your Chiropractor knows what he/she is doing they can find the most comfortable and beneficial position for you on the table. I have been going through treatment for about 6 weeks now and my pain levels have dropped tremendously. Before I started Spinal Decompression I could barely walk and I couldn't perform daily tasks like changing diapers, picking up my daughter, cooking, etc. Now, I am able to do some exercises, walk on a regular basis, some light yoga moves and will soon be able to do weight-lifting and jogging again.

It doesn't hurt to check it out in your area :O)
