wowo i thought my son was the only one, he usually does it when we are driving in the car and he doesnt want to be in his seat anymore, he is almost 18 months old and has been doing it for a few months now, it really bothers me and when i tell him no he jujst laughs and waits till i turn around and does it again, i dont know how to get him to stop, he usually doesnt actually throw up cuz i catch him right before he gags enough to make something come up but he has a few times and its gross... im asking his dr about it at his next appt in a couple weeks.

YES!!! i'm so glad mine isnt the only one. Im in exactly the same situation. when my 18 month old doesn't ger her way she also puts her fingers down her throught. i smack her hand and say 'NO! she's a right lil madam. she still does it though and i dont no how to stop it :(

My daughter used to do this everytime i told her to do something she didnt think she should. Well once i figured out that she was doing it for attention, attention she didnt get i would put her in time out in the same clothes she threw up on and i would not change her until she apoligized. now she doesnt even think about doing it lol. after the first time she had to smell that for like five minutes it stopped immediatley.

Ok so my son doesn't do this, but I have heard of people's kids that do. I will give you their solution and if you want, you can use it. They said that when their child does they, they let them stay in those clothes, at least until they've done what they're supposed to do. Like, after your son makes himself throw up, go ahead and make him pick up anyway, and then go clean him up. But like I said, I haven't had to deal with this myself, this is just what I have heard from parents who have.

yes! he does this all the time. i dont know how to stop it either, i tried tellin him not to but he a spoilt boy n screams everytime i say no or dont or cant. lol. so we just leave him till he stops doin it eventually. it may sound mean n its really hard to do but he hardly ever does it now cos he knows it wont work
