My son is now 2 1/2 years old and we have been working on potty training a little bit at a time. Last night he was wearing his little undies. He was sitting down eating dinner and out of the blue he turns to me and says mommy pee pee. I ran him to the bathroom, put him on the toilet and he went. He did it again an hour later. No accidents at all. Well I was very excited and praised him up and down. Then after I put him to bed I became really sad because i realized he is growing up so fast and the past 2 1/2yrs have flown by.

I felt the same way with my daughter, now 4 years old. Even still with her starting prek and talking more and learning more and ....its just so overwhelming. I sit back sometimes and want to cry cuz they grow up so fast! It feels like just a year ago she wasnt even crawling yet =(

yes they do grow sooooo fast. our little Zoey wanted to start when the other little girls in our family did (1 and 1 1/2 years older than her ) it was so cute to see a 14 mo. old on a potty, but I cried like a baby 2 mo later when she told me " I big girl my need panties mom " she has not had an accident in over 10 mo. YES we are proud of her, but there are a lot of tears when they grow soooooooooooo fast. Congrats to you and your little one.

I have those moments. My baby is 19 months old and it seems like she is growing up so fast. The time is just flying by. But dont be sad. Like Shannon said there will be plenty more "firsts" to look forward to, And most of all CONGRATULATIONS!!! Thats such a huge accomplishment. Potty training scares me lol.
