What time are you putting your daughter into bed for the night? My son is 20 months old. He goes to bed a 9 p.m. every night and has since before he was 12 months. His wake up time varies but rarely does he wake up at 4 a.m.! Routines are important for children. It helps them feel safe and makes things easier to understand when they know what to expect from you and what you expect from them. So, maybe try to start a daily routine have breakfast lunch and dinner at the same times or near the same time every day. Make her take a nap or atleast rest in her own bed every day at the same time. Give her a bath in the evening before bed it calms children to be in a coz warm bath and to have a little fun splashing. Maybe read her a book... get her in her pajamas. And try to keep the time between bath and bed nice and relaxing so she doesn't get riled up. Then when bed time comes give her a hug and a kiss tell her you love her and to sleep well and put her in bed and give her some privacy. Your routine will take a week or maybe more to get used to for her but she will get used to it and so will you. Even if she cries and fights at first keep to your routine as best you can. It will be better for both of you in the long run.

Decide when you want her to be up at the earliest and work on making that happen. Then decide what time you think is good for her to go to sleep. For me I don't mind 6am wake up and I put my toddler to bed at 6:30pm. During the day he gets his best nap immediately after lunch so I feed him lunch at 11:30 with nap at 12pm. He wakes up around 2:30. Dinner at 5pm and bed by 6:30 (door closed). I start my bedtime routine at 5:45 with a bath (not nightly), stories around 6:00pm and leave the room about 6:30pm. I know he'll be up for a bit longer but this schedule seems to really work for us.

Good luck
