my son is 2 1\2,and he using the potty w\out my demands. when their ready they will let u know. i didn't force him. forcing won't work. just keep communicating to them about it . and show them. his father has had some influence too. my son pee's in the training potty standing up. he is just now doing his #2 in the potty. right now he'll only use it if he is naked wast down. as soon i put anything on him down stairs he'll pee in it. patience, and communication. specially with

boy's.

With my two boys I made a chart and bought a lot of stickers that I knew they would like. Each time they went the restroom I would let them pick out a sticker to put on their chart. When they filled up a whole row on their chart I would give them a mini bag of popcorn. They always look forward to completing a row.

Well boys are harder to train than girls, usually. Not sure if you have a boy or girl. I have a 4 yr old step son and I potty trained him in about 2 weeks when he was almost 3. I used M&M's... 1 for pee pee and 2 for #2. Don't give candy unless they pee or poo in potty. I put big boy underwear on him during the day so he would be uncomfortable if he had an accident. Ask every 1/2 to hour if they need to potty. let them go with you when you go, or with Daddy. It's frustrating most of the time, just remember they've never done this before so it's really confusing for them, maybe even scary. You'll get it just be patient and try to stay home. Good luck and hope this helps.
