My little guy will pee on the potty no problem, but when it comes to pooping, he has no intrest. We tried chocolate, toys, stories, you name it to try and get him to poop on the potty, but nothing has worked. If I make him sit on the potty when he brings me a diaper he just holds it in and then doesn't have to go...which I don't want either. Not sure what to try next, he understands that he will get a gift when he poops on the potty, but it's not enough to make him want to do it. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance

Hey,
I've not tried this but heard about it from a friend. Apparently some kids find it a bit scary doing spoos in the loo/potty.
The suggestion I heard was to let him do poos in the nappy but encourage him to sit on the potty while he's doing it.

Then work up to the point where he's wearing the nappy, but with a hole cut in it, for the poo to fall out of the nappy into the potty/loo.
I thought this was a gret, sensitive way of slowly transitioning from wearing a nappy to pooing in the loo.

Hi I have just had the smae problem with my 3 1/2 year old son. He is off to kindy next week and I was really worried about him. I went to toilet training course and they told me to put the potty in the toilet and make the toilet really fun. He loved thomas the tank so we put pictures and toys of thomas in there and my husband made a little clothes line with thomas books pegged on it. He loves it and we now have no problems he even does it on the big toilet. Good luck:)
