HELP NEEDED DESPERATLY

Hi, Our kindy has had a outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease and my son has caught it, Anyone got some tips on how to cope and what to use to help relieve the pain and what not for my son. He's 3yrs of age and become very sooky and barely eating as it hurts to swallow, I tried Bojela but he wont let me put it on again due to the taste. Please Help

Thanks heaps, He seems a bit better today, He's drinkin loads of water and wanting sandwiches so Not to bad, He Will take normal medication but the bonjela he doesnt like (teething cream Dr told us to use to numb the sores), his temp is down today to, just being very sookie.

poor thing, I remember when my son had this!
stay away from anything acidic - tomatos, oranges - basically all citrus and anything tart.
things like milk, yogurt and buttered bread he will probably find soothing.
Think about things you would want to eat if your entire mouth were covered in cold sores.
If you can't get him to take any ibuprofen while awake, I would get an oral syringe from the pharmacy and gently squirt it into his mouth (not the back of the mouth, but the cheek) while he is sleeping.
He should be feeling better in two to three days. if he doesn't eat much during that time, don't worry. make sure he has plenty of access to water, and milk. Don't do juice as the sugars will probably aggrivate the sores.
