i started to try at two becuase my dad told me she was too old to be wearing a diaper and tried EVERYTHING for about nine months off an on.... i was consistent for periods of time but she just wasnt ready... then right at three she stopped wetting at night so i put her back in panties and she trained herself i think she may have had two accidents and never has wet the bed at night... i would just wait till she is ready... you will know!

if she starts showing signs of it. staying dry for periods of time, taking naps and waking up dry. put her in panties and put her on the potty every 15 minutes or so. they'll get used to it.

You'll know when she is ready. Let her watch you go pee, and make her sit down and try it at the same time as you are going. Don't give her as much to drink, let her know that this is where big girls go potty. Trust me its hard. I'm currently training my two year old son. Its diffucult and hard. But he's getting it. What I also do is when he goes pee in the potty he gets one M&M and when he goes poo he gets three M&Ms. I tell him go potty in the big boy potty for an M&M and he rushes to the bathroom.LOL.

Now! you want her to atleast be in the stage of potty training now so she won't be rebelious next year or when ever.

Hi Also just started potty training my 2 1/2 year old tried pullups, she is very happy pulling them up and down herself but usually after she has been to toilet. I have started using knickers but she just keeps on wetting them. Good luck it takes time and patience Im sure it wasn't this hard when I trained my son.

I think now will be a good time she is old enough to know that she needs to go to the bathroom. remember to never but that nappy back on as Lisa said cause then you lost the battle.... Strongs

Now is a good time, just every morning sit her on the potty and talk or read to her,she will go, just take her to the potty about every hour this will train her to go. Make it a pleasure not a chore. Don't forget to reward her.

She will let you know!!! Usually when she tells you whats going on in the diaper or pull up is when you should try do not rush her though!!!

start potty training when she becomes aware. when shes able to communicate with you and understands the meaning of the toilet. when she doesn't like being in a soiled diaper. i started potty training when my son was 2 years and 3 months. At first it was just for him to feel the underwear for a couple hours, see how its different from diapers, introduced him to the potty and how to flush it and how he wipes his hands when hes done. His father would bring him into the bathroom with him and says when he gets bigger he can learn how to pee standing up. and the next few weeks we would just say do you need to potty every 20 or so minutes. we would put the underwear on him longer. and eventually he just got it. #2 took longer to catch on.. he didnt get that down til 2 years and 6 months. but hes a full blown potty trained toddler now!

HI,

My daughter turned two in August and we just started potty training. She let me know she was ready when she started telling me that she was wet or poopy. She has done well. So I guess my advice is... Whenever you are ready. Maybe to get her used to the potty by taking her in with you so the flush wont scare her. Maybe put a little potty for her in the bathroom... My daughter LOVES it when we both go to the potty together. It makes her feel like a big girl. Like Mommy.

I have to agree with the pull ups. It does make them lazy.. if anything.. bring them to pick out their new underwear and let them know that they cant get them wet. They feel extra special when they get to pick out their big girl/boy undies! and make sure to reward them for going potty in the big potty! Oh and no drinks after a certain time.. I would say an hour or so before bedtime and make them go potty before night night. Less accidents that way

I would say, when she is ready. I potty trained both my girls at about 2 1/2. I took a couple of days... took the diaper off and they went bare butt all those days (except for sleepy times). Everywhere they went.. so did the potty!

Now, and do not use pull ups. Those are a fluke. I have 4 children, two I potty trained without pull ups and it just happened, it worked and did not take long. I am training one now, and the pull ups have her lazy. Never again with pull ups! Good Luck

when she's aware that shes doing it is the time 2 start, dont use pull ups though! just go straight to pants and when u do it dont resort bk to nappies if it isnt working- stay strong lol!!
