Try taking pictures of easy hiding hinding places. Then print them out even on plain paper and then set up a teasure hunt. Its easy enough for them to follow along and fun for them. get a box and put their grab bags in it for when they find the treasure box.

If the whether is good go buy some 6X9, 3 feet deep pools. There about $30 each right now at Target. Fill one up 1-2 feet for the younger kids and fill the other one full for bigger kids and have a pool party. Parents can wade in the pool with thier little ones or watch them from a lawn chair on the side. Add a couple beach umbrellas, put a kiddie sprikler between the two pools and call it a beach party. Hand out sun screen and visors as party favors. (also at Target- look in the dollor bin or next to the toiletries where the 99 cent travel items are). Make it pot luck and you could probably do the whold thing for around $100. Have fun!!

Pin the tail on _?_  Find a poster of a favorite character (ie: Blues Clues, Diego, etc) Before the party have your son help you make "tails" or something suiting for that character to stick onto the poster. You can use velcro or tape. It is sure to get some giggles :)

If u can handle the mess(0f course u can) try setting up paper on a fence and putting paints out and playdough and goop(lots of cheap cornflour in a tub with a bit of water til gooey) just make sure u let the parents know so they can decide if they r worried about their kids clothing. We have done this for my sons 3rd and 4th birthday and it works a treat! Good Luck!

Another idea is the game HULLABALOO!  My kids got it for Christmas and my 4 and 3 year olds love it!!  My 3 year old son especially loves it.  He is constantly playing it.  Have a basket of small prizes.  Every time one of the kids is on the winning space, then you can let them choose from the prize basket.  Hope this helps and hope the party goes well!
