my two year old had started hitting me in anger any ideas on how to deal with him wendy x

Ahh hitting. I think every 2 yr old child goes through this phase. The only way to help put and end to it is by being consistant! Any time .. no matter what or where you are.. if she hits you she must go into a "take 2." Time outs should always be given by age.. 1 minute for every year old they are, hence the take 2. lol. It will take awhile but eventually she will catch on. And make sure as you take her away from the situation and place her in take 2 that you are verbally telling her why she is sitting. 'Alright *** now you are going into take 2. You need to be nice to mommy. No more hitting. and repeat no more hitting if you don't think she's listening. And whenever she is doing the right thing make sure you praise her as much as possible.

im having the same problem with my 2yr old, shes extremelly independant , i can cope with the hitting at home, any ideas for when im out/on transport, i cant do time out then ?
