My son is 15 months old and is refusing to walk. He crawls at top speed but is just too lazy to walk. His legs are strong enough so it isn't that. Tips on getting him to walk pls mums. Thanks

I did shoes with my son it gave him the confidence and stablity to his ancles.. also something that he can stand behind and push helped alot for independent walking.. good luck Im sure he will be walking soon

My 18mth old didn't even think about walking until he was about 14mths. We used a big exercise ball to encourage him to take steps. He used it to push along, it took a while but once he got going he didn't stop, now he runs everywhere and there are times when i wish he never started.

Good luck

Hi I'm Jen!!  Nice to meet you.  Have you tried having him hold onto a toy while standing and then encourage him to walk.... don't know why but it seemed to help with my two.  Also, the old way of putting shoes on him works well, too!  Bye for now.

Shoes and walking toys are the key.  And once they got it, they will run so buy some running shoes.

Thanks everyone. I love the exercise ball idea, will definately try that. I do already put shoes on him occasionally, I will try more often though. xx
