how can i get my 2 year old son to stop having milk in the night. HELP. x

please could anyone give me any tips on how to get my 2 year old son of his milk in the night he wakes up at least twice in the night, i just dont know what to do. he eats very well through the day and always finishs his meals, ive also tried being tough by saying no and giving him his dummy but he crys so much and i have to be up for work that i just give in. so please is there anyone going through the same.. x

I would have to agree, just stop one night. Try on a night you don't work in the morning so if you don't get much sleep you don't have to worry about being tired at work. If that doesn't work try giving him less each night. Lets say he drinks 10oz, try giving him 9 for a few nights then 8 then 7 and so on so he slowly gets used to less and less then try not giving him any

Just have to stop giving in. If he knows that you are going to give in then he will not stop. You may have to deal with some sleepless nights for about a week, but once you stay strong and set the limit then it will break the habit.

We just said no to milk and would only give water to our boys during the middle of the night no matter how much they cry. Because if we gave in they would keep crying all the time. We just got out of the habit of giving them milk to put them to sleep at night they can have water but thats it. Good Luck!
