We are going thru the same thing as well. she only eats a few certain foods really well. or some things she will "chew' but not swallow it. lol like she gets the flavor out and then spits it out.

i am hoping tht its just a phase. i try not to worry to much. the doc did a blood test all came back good and clear.

I have a two year old boy and all he wanted to eat was yoghurt. Until recently we couldnt get him to eat any type of meat, but out of know where he now eats fish, chicken, mince, steak. I think they just go through stages of what they like to eat. There taste buds change and so does what they eat, you just have to go with it. Last week he just ate apples, this week its bananas.

Same here! She likes what she likes right now. I do try to put something new on her plate with the same old stuff. If she doesnt touch it then thats fine. Eventually she will.

My boy is similar. Spag bol and sausages are frequently on the menu. I have managed to expand the repetoir to include ham steaks (blast from the past, you get them in the deli section of the supermarket) and I also buy cold cuts like sliced turkey or roast beef and dry fry them in a pan for variety. Hide vegies in your spag bol like grated carrot and grated zucchini - these don't alter the taste.

My 22 month old daughter will not eat vegetables for anything... and she has never eaten baby food. She just wouldn't do it. Anyway, I found that if you find something that they do like... for example... she like oatmeal... well, I mash up any kind of fruit that I can into goo and mix it in so that she really doesn't notice... then she'll eat it. It's a good way to get her to eat fruit without her thinking she's eating fruit... and then for dinner... she likes macaroni and cheese, so what I do is put broccoli or cauliflower or peas .. carrots etc in the food processor, and then mix them in so that you really can't taste it. You can also mix the veggies into hamburger meat for manwich and or disguise a burger with some ketchup and they never know the difference. Eventually when she gets older, I hope I won't have to continue to do this. hehe Hope that helps you.

My bff's son has the same prob. Sometimes if he sees my little one eating something diffrent he will try it. He is now almost 3yrs and slowly he is starting to try new foods. so, what I am trying to say is she wil grow out of it. You can just keep trying everything untill you have success. If you have another baby the best advice I got from my mom, and doc if feed the baby everything you eat. Good luck.... :)
