How can I get my daughter to want to get her picture taken?

My daughter is 3 1/2 years old, and every time I get out the camera she screams and throws a fit. She seems as so she is scared of the camera and will do anything to get out of pictures.I've tried talking to her about it and explaining to her that a camera is not a scary thing and that it isn't going to hurt her, but she just doesn't understand. She sees her brothers and sisters including her younger brother who is only 2 get their pictures taken but for some reason she still thinks its going to hurt her.

I feel bad because I like to capture family moments, but I feel torn because I dont want to upset her. She isn't scared of the same things my other kids were scared of (monsters, the dark, etc), so I have no idea what to do. There is a lot worse things in this world to be afraid of and I feel terrible that I can't help her with this.

Does anyone have any tips for me?

Try celebrating every picture she see's you take of her siblings, make a huge deal about it congratulating your child ect for a picture taken of them. Show the picture off to all the siblings and lavish them with attention over it. Tell your daughter about how much you love getting pictures while showing the pics, keep doing these things in various ways for a while, then start offering your daughter to have her picture taken. If she refuses, fine, make a big deal out of pictures for her siblings. After a while she should give in and want the same celebration, which wont be hard to do the first time you succeed. This will help her see pictures and the camera in a good way.
